K'apel Construction is a Native American owned and operated business enterprise located in Northern California. We have the knowledge, experience and resources to complete many types of heavy construction projects. Lance "Tyke" Robbins is a member of the Yurok Tribe in Northern California and owner of K’apel Construction. Tyke began working small construction projects for local land owners and his tribe while gaining experience from an established construction company.
"In time, it became clear to me that my goal would be to start my own business and provide careers in the construction industry to others from my tribe and provide a local contractor who knows the area and its needs. K’apel is the name of the village where my ancestors and my family originated. History documents the spelling as Cappell, but my father spelled it K’apel. This is the name I chose for my business in honor of my Dad and my ancestors." Lance (Tyke) Robbins
